Learn while you are entertained

So...disclaimer, I wanted to KEEP this book for myself! I was expecting to only learn about the presidential pets, but to my surprise it gave a lot more info about them. The book included a short story and many facts about the presidency along with a caricature. My niece, no I didn't keep the book, loved the book and wanted me to read about the different presidents according to their interesting pets.

Great Addition to Studying the Presidents

This is a fun book, with not only information about the animals at the White House, but a few interesting facts thrown in as well. My son and I are studying the presidents this summer. To make the study fun, we are learning about the president's pets, their children and what they liked to eat. Learning about a president's accomplishments is wonderful, but books like this help to make the presidents more "human" and more memorable. I recommend this book.

Lots of History Here

I gave this book to my granddaughters (who are 6 and 7) for Christmas as they are both animal lovers. They really liked the book and were able to read it by themselves. Its a fun way to present historical facts in a fun context.
