Excellent basic detail book at an excellent price. A good research book.Easy, quick access to shoulder insignia and units.Contains the basic info which can be used in conjunction with the larger reference books. I carry this one when looking for additions to my collection. It's easy to carry, not massive and cumbersome.

Best book on WWII UA Military Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

This is an outstanding book on WWII shoulder sleeve insignia. The "Old Chief", Dick Smith was a very knowledgable master of the insignia of the US armed forces. Excellent full color pictures of the insignia and well researched descriptions, and histories of the units depicted.
Every WWII enthusiast should have a copy of this book in their library.

The breadth and depth of this work are most helpful. The color images make this a valuable resource for any interested in collecting U. S. military insignia or identifying uniforms from the WW II period.
